My customized, commemorative portraiture is developed strictly from photographs taken in natural light. Sometimes I have the opportunity to take my own digital photographs; at other times they are provided by clients. In collaboration with the client, we try to choose a photograph that has the detail, lighting or mood that will create an attractive, interesting painting.
Commission work pricing varies per project. After determining the intricacy of the project, format, number of subjects in the portrait, size, background and turnaround time, I can more readily estimate cost. Framing, shipping and handling are additional costs. I choose to deliver my portraits matted and shrink wrapped or in clear envelopes.
